I started having collectibles as a small child. First with a sticker collection, then My Little Pony, Stamps, Friendship Bracelets, etc. The collections was where I developed an over value/ attachment to stuff. Now, I’m not saying that every child who has a collection grows up into a hoarder…that is just my story. I’m just sharing where the habit of being a hoarder began…bc if I know where the roots of my hoarding developed, I can start to heal and change my hoarding mindset. And hopefully this can be a starting point for other hoarders to heal too.
